St Mary's Chandankiyari

Attempts were made to establish an English medium school in these parts. The local community willingly parted with 17 acres of land. A school has come up which is run by the Holy Cross Congregation while the Jesuits run a hostel for boys and girls, offer vocational training in computers and Spoken English. They also cater to the spiritual needs of the local railway colony.
